- Pick a look that highlights the "real" you. It's great to experiment with different looks and hairstyles, but select something for your wedding day that's "you". You don't want to look back at you wedding photos and say, "What was I thinking?"
- Do a trial run, even if you don't hire a pro. Whether it's a pro or a friend doing your wedding day hair and make-up, do a trial run and wear it ALL day. This gives it an opportunity to grow on you, AND it gives you an opportunity to see how the "do" and make-up will hold up.
- Go for waterproof mascara. You will be emotional on your wedding day, so waterproof is the way to go. No bride needs black streaks running down her face on the most photographed day of her life! Most brands come off easily with eye makeup remover.
- Reduce your sodium intake. A few weeks before your wedding, cut back on the sodium in your diet (this includes diet sodas!). Drink water. You'll see reduced puffiness around your eyes and more definiteion in the contours of your face ... not to mention, you'll feel great!
- Get your brows groomed by a professional. Your eyebrows frame your eyes, so it's important to have them groomed professionally before your wedding. Those close-up bridal photos will thank you for it!
